Course of Study
The LL.M. (Master of Laws) program is a research-focused course of study designed for advanced legal scholarship. The study specialization is Corporate and Business Law. The sole requirement is the completion of a master's thesis, allowing students to conduct in-depth research on a specialized legal topic of their choice. Through this independent study, students develop critical analytical skills and contribute original insights to the field of law.
The LLM in detail
Study content:
In the Master of Laws (LL.M.) program, your primary academic endeavor will be to write a thesis that delves into a legal topic of your choice. This thesis provides an opportunity to engage in in-depth legal research and analysis, allowing you to contribute meaningful insights to the field of law.
You may choose to focus your thesis within the legal framework of your home country, exploring national laws and their applications. Alternatively, you can broaden your scope to examine global or transnational legal issues, providing a comparative perspective or addressing challenges that transcend borders. This flexibility enables you to tailor your research to your academic interests and professional aspirations. While the program emphasizes Corporate and Business Law, the dissertation does not need to be exclusively focused on this area. Your research can address topics that are only partially related to Corporate and Business Law, integrating other areas of legal scholarship to provide a broader or interdisciplinary perspective.
If you have previously written a text of suitable quality, you are welcome to use it as a foundation for your thesis. Expanding or refining existing work can be an excellent way to build on your expertise and accelerate the writing process.
The program is highly flexible, with no mandatory lectures, examinations, or fixed deadlines. This structure is designed to accommodate your individual schedule, allowing you to progress at your own pace while balancing personal and professional commitments.

The duration of study stated in the Diploma Supplement is 2 years. Since there is no minimum length of study, committed students can graduate quickly with us.
